Stop Watch's user guide can be found here

Troubleshooting for Stop Watch:
Most users shouldn't have any problems at all with Stop Watch (other than maybe not knowing how to do something, and in that case, check the User Guide above), however it has come to our attention that some people do have problems.  As far as we are aware, Stop Watch doesn't have any major bugs in it and very few minor ones.  So if you are having problems, please try the following:

  • Make sure you have the latest OS (Operating System) on your device.  To do this, connect your device to iTunes and on the first screen, click the "Check for Update" button.  This will tell you if there is an update available or if your running the lastest version of iOS.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of Stop Watch.  Occasionally when we send out a large update, a few bugs will slip through our testing.  We become aware of these when users such as yourself inform us of these problems.  We then make it top priority to fix these and submit an update ASAP.  To make sure you have the latest Stop Watch, open the App Store on your device and tap "Updates" in the bottom right corner.  This will search for any available updates for the apps you have.  If Stop Watch shows up on the list, great, download it (all updates are free) and that will probably solve the problem.
  • Make sure your device is not jailbroken.  We only test our products using Apple sanctioned methods and materials.  We give no support to those who feel they are above the system and insist on hacking their device.  If you are one of these people, tough luck.  If you have no idea what jailbroken means, you probably don't have anything to worry about.  You can always do a Google search to figure out if your device is jailbroken or not.
  • If you have tried all of the above and Stop Watch still isn't working the way it's supposed to, there's one last thing you can try.  You can delete Stop Watch from your device (hold the icon for a few seconds until it begins to 'wiggle', the tap the 'x'), then re-download it.  This will delete all of your data for Stop Watch, so if you can, e-mail everything important from Stop Watch first (see User Guide above).  When you go to the App Store to re-download it, the "Buy Now" icon will still say $1.99, but don't worry.  As long as you are using the same iTunes account you used to purchase it originally, you won't be charge twice.  After tapping "Buy Now", a pop up message will appear saying you have already downloaded Stop Watch and asking if you would like to download it for free.  Tap yes and you'll be all set.  This will usually solve any problems there may have been.  If not, feel free to contact us at support@pencilbusters.com and we'll help you try to resolve any issues.

Thank you for your interest in Stop Watch and for helping support us in this endeavor.
